Life is Like a Box of Chocolates…
You never know what you’re going to get. Perhaps what touched us most about Forest Gump’s brand of wisdom, couched in stark simplicity—is that it’s as true as it is simple. There’s not much left to the imagination when every one of us has pinched the chocolate to find out what’s inside and then finding maybe nougat or maple, selectively moved on to the next piece in the box hoping no one noticed that slightly squished one in the corner. Ah, but when a little squeeze reveals the orange or strawberry cream filling (or the raspberry jelly) we experience a bit of rapture on the tongue, and for a moment all is well with the world. Indeed, Chocolate is the ultimate comfort food. In case you didn’t know, February is National Chocolate Month. In my humble opinion, every month should be National Chocolate Month.
Paying tribute to Chocolate this month, we are having a contest! Just stop by the leasing office and make your guess as to how many chocolate candies we have in our jar without going over and you might win $25.00 off March’s rent! The contest ends February 10, 2012.
Color Me Lovely!
It will soon be Valentines Day at Forest Park and that means it’s time for a coloring contest! Our young residents can pick up a coloring sheet at the leasing office and return it by February 10th. The winner will receive a Valentine basket filled with goodies!
Find the Ramblin’ Rose
Rambin’ rose, ramblin’ rose, why you ramble no one knows. Wild and wind blown that’s how you’ve grown. Who can cling to a ramblin’ rose?
If you find the ramblin’ rose blowing around the grounds from February 6th to February 11th be sure to bring it to the office and exchange it for Dinner for Two at Café Sicilla!
